Virat Kohli hoists IPL trophy with wild roar as RCB ferociously celebrate successful title defence: Watch

Virat Kohli stole the show during the Indian Premier League (IPL) final not just with the bat but also while celebrating as his wild roar while lifting the trophy after the team's successful title defence on Sunday (May 31) has gone viral.

Kohli smashed his fastest IPL half-century in just 25 balls and finished unbeaten on 72 to help RCB chase down the 156-run target set by the Gujarat Titans on Sunday in the final. The former India captain stayed till the end in the chase and smashed the winning six to cap off another successful season with the bat and with the team.

During the award ceremony, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Devajit Saikia and the board president Mithun Manhas presented the trophy to RCB captain Rajat Patidar.

The glittering trophy was held aloft by Patidar among RCB players who jumped in joy as they celebrated becoming only the third team in the history of the league to successfully defend an IPL title.

Kohli's celebrations stood out as he seemed to still have enough in the tank to ferociously celebrate the title win after fielding for 20 overs and then batting for another 18. The former RCB captain also got the chance to hoist the trophy and he did that as well with full vigour. The star batter kissed the trophy as well, making for a wholesome moment that is now going viral all over the Internet.

Kohli was also adjudged the Player of the Match for his unbeaten half-century that guided RCB to victory on a slightly tricky pitch in Ahmedabad. The star batter finished as the fourth highest scorer in this edition with 675 runs at an average of 56 and a strike rate of 166.
