RCB troll Punjab Kings after viral tweet comes back to haunt them in IPL 2026: 'Don’t do it again!'

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have once again trolled Punjab Kings (PBKS) on social media after their crucial IPL 2026 clash at Dharamsala, where RCB won by 23 runs to become the first team to qualify for the playoffs.

After the match, RCB’s official handle posted a cheeky message aimed at PBKS: “It’s okay guys…. But don’t do it again!” They followed it up with another post saying, “Masterclass! What not to tweet 101”, referring to Punjab’s earlier viral social media post.

Why RCB trolled PBKS?

The posts were linked to an old PBKS tweet that had gone viral earlier in the season, where their admin shared a score update of "49/1 (4.3 overs)," which was a clear dig at RCB’s infamous lowest IPL total of 49 all out. That tweet was seen as mocking RCB, but it turned into a talking point when Punjab’s form collapsed after that moment.

After that post, PBKS completely lost momentum in the tournament. What started as a strong season turned into a nightmare run, with the team losing six matches in a row, including the defeat against RCB on Sunday. The latest defeat also meant that PBKS will now have to depend on the results of other teams to go their way.

In the Dharamsala match, RCB first posted a huge total of 222/4. Virat Kohli (58), Devdutt Padikkal (45) and Tim David (28) gave solid support, while Venkatesh Iyer stole the show with a brilliant 73 not out off 40 balls.

In reply, PBKS never got full control of the chase. Despite a fighting 56 off 27 balls from Shashank Singh and crucial contributions from Marcus Stoinis, Cooper Connolly, and Suryansh Shegde, they were restricted to 199/8.
