RR currently holds the fifth spot in the points table and needs just one more win to secure qualification. But standing in the way are MI, who will look to finish their campaign strongly at home.

For the Harik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians, this fixture is an opportunity to end the season on a high and build rhythm before heading into the off‑season.

RR would enter the clash with renewed confidence after breaking their three-match losing streak. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi have been in excellent touch, with the 15-year-old showcasing fierce strokeplay and remarkable composure.

Rajasthan would be keen to put Mumbai on the back foot in the powerplay overs with an aggressive opening.

Mumbai weather forecast

According to Accuweather, Mumbai's weather would be "partly sunny and warm" with temperatures rising to 36 degrees Celsius. Winds would blow towards the west at 17km/h, with 22% cloud cover.

There is a forecast of some rain on Sunday afternoon, and the humidity would be around 54%. The temperatures would drop to 32 degrees Celsius by the evening.

Wankhede Stadium pitch report

The pitch in Wankhede Stadium has traditionally favoured batters and has been the best betting surface in IPL. The tracks offer good pace and bounce, and fast bowlers could receive some assistance in the powerplay overs with the new ball.

The quick outfield and shorter boundaries work in favour of the batting side, and since it is an afternoon game, dew is not expected to have much impact.

As per ESPNCricinfo, Wankhede's pitch No. 6 would be used for the upcoming match. It is the third time this IPL and the fifth time since February, when the venue hosted two T20 World Cup fixtures. Batting first would not be a bad idea either, given it is an afternoon match, and the pitch is sticky and will slow down gradually.
