KKR vs MI LIVE Score: Hardik Pandya also forgets the changes in MI's playing XI

We would have bowled first as well. Looks like a track which has been under the covers. Just wanted to see how exactly it plays out. (Playing for pride) Absolutely. Every game you play, you want to win. You want to play your best cricket, put the best foot forward. At the same point of time, Mumbai Indians have a long history of winning titles. So just want to make sure that we keep the head high and make sure that we represent Mumbai Indians in the best capacity.

KKR vs MI LIVE Score: Ajinkya Rahane speaks at the toss and forgets to name one change

We are looking to bowl first. It is as simple as that. We want to focus on that, we have to win two out of two and we want to stay in the moment. In the first half of the tournament there were moments if we had capitalised things would have been different. It is frankly tough to read the wicket, we need to play good cricket throughout 40 overs. We are going with the same team.

KKR vs MI LIVE Score: Cameron Green on why he and KKR failed to fire in the first half of the season

(How have you found the different environments in the three franchises?) Yeah, no, I’ve been very lucky to be at three great franchises. I think, yeah, we’re an incredibly close unit here at KKR. I think that probably shows how we were able to turn it around. I think, yeah, obviously didn’t have the best first half of the comp, but we’ve really found something now and I think when your group gets along really well, that probably holds you in a really good stead. (Why did it take a while for the team and for yourself to get going this season?) I think Shane Watson made a really good point. I think he said we’ve got quite a few new guys for this team, so we didn’t quite know the right balance at the start of the comp. So it probably took us a bit too long to find it, but we’ve found it now and hopefully we can carry on in the next two games. (How confident are you going into this one with MI?) I think we’ve been playing great cricket the last, five or six games. So we’re in good form and hopefully that can continue.

KKR vs MI LIVE Score: Michael Clarke and Deep Dasgupta with the pitch report from Eden Gardens

We were welcomed with some thunder and shower a while ago here in the city of joy at the iconic Eden Gardens. Well, this is a very, very quick outfield, but not the biggest playing area. 70 on my left and there’s a bias here. Only 58 on my right, straight down is 74. But quick outfield, not a big outfield either. Michael Clarke’s with me. What do you make of the pitch, though, Clarkie? Well, I think the rain’s gone. The humidity’s still here, there’s no doubt about it. Look, I think the wicket’s super dry, to be honest. Again, when you go down and have a look, you can see there’s a little bit of a grass coverage, but it’s got that white colour as well, which tells me that’s nice and dry. It’s the surface underneath that I think it might be a little bit too paced. And I honestly think we’re going to see spin play a big part tonight. Even if it doesn’t turn big, I think that change of pace, that natural variation, is going to be significant tonight. Yeah, there is always carry here at Eden Gardens, but I agree with you. It looks oppressive, it looks on the drier side. Well, you don’t know what the par score is here, so you might want to chase here. If you win the toss, you chase here, and just figure out how this pitch pans out.

KKR vs MI LIVE Score: When and where to watch the IPL 2026 clash?

Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Mumbai Indians in this crucial IPL 2026 clash at Eden Gardens on Wednesday. The match will begin at 7:30 PM IST and the toss will take place at 7:00 PM IST.

KKR vs MI Playing 11 LIVE Updates: Expect both teams to make changes to their playing 11 as Kolkata Knight Riders take on Mumbai Indians in a must-win clash at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday (20 May). One of the possible changes for KKR could be pacer Blessing Muzarabani coming in for Matheesha Pathirana, who recently suffered a hamstring injury.

For Mumbai, two big changes are possible as skipper Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav are set to return. Pandya had missed the last three matches due to a back spasm. But the all-rounder is reportedly now fit to play. SKY missed the last match for MI due to personal reasons, and he is also back with the squad.

Meanwhile, Raja Bawa has suffered an injury and is set to miss the remaining matches for MI.

Meanwhile, this is a must-win match for KKR as they can still reach a maximum of 15 points and that possibility has kept them alive in the playoff race. But a defeat for Ajinkya Rahane's side will bring an end to their story.

Eden Gardens pitch conditions: The KKR vs MI match will be played on pitch No 4, which has been used only once so far in the 2026 IPL season. In the Rajasthan Royals' match vs KKR on pitch No 4, Kolkata had chased down 156 to win by four wickets. Going by that game, we can expect a low-scoring match.

KKR vs MI predicted playing 11s

Kolkata Knight Riders predicted playing 11 (playing 12): Ajinkya Rahane (c), Finn Allen, Angkrish Raghuvanshi (wk), Cameron Green, Manish Pandey, Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Anukul Roy, Varun Chakravarthy, Saurabh Dubey, Kartik Tyagi, Blessing Muzarabani

Mumbai Indians predicted playing 11 (playing 12): Ryan Rickelton (wk), Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Naman Dhir, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Will Jacks, Corbin Bosch, Deepak Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah, Raghu Sharma, AM Ghazanfar
