Fans seen misbehaving with cheerleaders during LSG vs PBKS match, police spring into action: Watch
LSG finished their IPL 2026 campaign with another loss but another embarrassment followed as the video of an incident showing fans misbehaving with cheerleaders went viral.

Lucknow Super Giants' Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 came to an end with another loss as they failed to beat Punjab Kings in their final match of the season on Saturday at the Ekana Stadium.
Josh Inglis scored a brilliant 72 to take LSG to 196/7 in 20 overs. However, Shreyas Iyer slammed his maiden ton in IPL to guide PBKS past the victory line with two overs still remaining in the contest. The defeat, LSG's 10th this season, is set to keep the team at the bottom of the table, where they are likely to remain.
This will be LSG's first wooden spoon in the competition after making their first appearance in 2022. While Rishabh Pant's side's performance was poor, another embarrassing incident allegedly took place at the stadium during the match.
Cheerleader upset with fan behaviour
A video going viral on social media shows a cheerleader visibly upset with the behaviour of the crowd. A fan allegedly threw a chit towards the cheerleader, who was sitting just outside the boundary ropes. The cheerleader could be seen telling the crowd not to engage in such behaviour.
The video also showed that police quickly intervened in the matter and took some action against such fans. Female police personnel also got involved in trying to control the fans.
The incident has not been officially confirmed but videos of it are going viral all over the social media.
Home fans did not have much to cheer for as LSG suffered another one-sided loss. However, PBKS supporters went home happy as their team finally ended their six-match losing streak to keep their play-off hopes alive.
Captain Shreyas Iyer slammed an unbeaten to take his team to victory and Prabhsimran Singh too played a crucial role with his sixth half-century of the season. PBKS now have to hope for RR to lose against MI and then for KKR to not register a massive win over DC in the final league stage game of the season.
