Punjab Kings seamer Arshdeep Singh has appeared to undergo a social media detox after removing a large portion of his Instagram posts and reels. The digital wipeout came amid scrutiny over his recent online activity and followed Punjab Kings' elimination from the playoff race.

Arshdeep had a modest outing in the 2026 Indian Premier League, securing just 14 wickets in 14 matches. He wrapped up his IPL campaign as Punjab's leading wicket-taker, but inconsistencies affected his game throughout the season.

Arshdeep wipes social media profile clean

Arshdeep’s Instagram post count dropped to just 44, with most of his casual video content being wiped out. The videos had generated millions of views.

The Indian seamer also removed the viral reel he made with Virat Kohli in December last year after Kohli struck two consecutive hundreds in a one-day series. While such actions are common, the reason behind his latest move remains unclear.

Arshdeep’s recent social media activity drew sharp criticism after he allegedly made a racial remark toward MI batter Tilak Varma, prompting a former Indian cricketer to call for action against the pacer and request an investigation by the BCCI.

Another controversy erupted when one of his vlogs appeared to show spinner Yuzvendra Chahal smoking an e-cigarette, sparking debate over player conduct. Since then, Arshdeep has largely stopped producing casual vlogs.

The Punjab Kings narrowly missed out on the IPL 2026 playoffs, finishing fifth after a six-match losing streak derailed their campaign. Though they broke the slump in their final fixture, the franchise ultimately fell short by just one point to the Rajasthan Royals.
