Realme GT 7 Pro

This stylish phone feels great in hand and comes with a couple of soothing colour options to choose from. Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, you get 12 GB RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.0 storage. It is fitted with a sharp 6.32-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and Crystal Shield Glass. The HDR10+ and Dolby Vision compliant screen supports 10-bit colour depth, 120 Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits peak brightness.

OnePlus 13s

If you are looking for a full-sized phone for gaming, the new OnePlus 15R is a great option in this budget. It is powered by Qualcomm’s recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip with 12 GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256 GB fast UFS 4.1 storage.

It hosts a huge 7400 mAh Silicon Carbon battery to facilitate longer gaming sessions and supports 80W SuperVOOC charging for a brisk topup. It also supports bypass charging, if you do not want to stress your battery during the extra-long gaming sessions.

The OnePlus 15R has a large 6.83-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1272 pixels and 1800 nit brightness (HBM). The HDR10+ compliant screen is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Just like the company’s flagship OnePlus 15, the 15R too flaunts 165 Hz refresh rate, which can be more than handy in certain games. If you like compact phones and with excellent cameras, Samsung’s previous flagship, Galaxy S24 5G offers the best of both worlds. It has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with a peak brightness of 2600 nits, HDR10+ compliance and 120 Hz refresh rate.

Despite being compact, it is quite sturdy with an IP68-rated dust and water resistance, Armor Aluminium 2 frame and a glass back with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which also protects the screen.

The S24 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and you get 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage to go with it. A 4000 mAh battery keeps it powered for a little over a day of moderate use.

It supports wireless charging too. The phone launched with Android 14 and Samsung’s One UI 6.1 with an Android 16 update now available. The company has promised a whopping 7 years of software updates for this device from the date of its release.

You also get a 12MP front camera with PDAF for selfies and video calls. The camera performance is best in the segment, and it can also record 8K videos.

Google Pixel 9a

Google Pixel 10a was officially unveiled just a day before I started writing this article, and I am yet to spot any significant difference between that and its predecessor. So why bother paying extra for a seemingly rebadged 9a.

Might as well buy the Pixel 9a for a good 10,000 Rupees less. It is powered by Google’s previous flagship Tensor G4 chip and so is the 10a (a possible oversight by the tech giant). You get 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage to go with it.

Pixel phones are also known for their camera quality, and the Pixel 9a delivers strongly in this department. It captures some high quality shots, courtesy of a 48MP primary camera with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degrees FOV. They do a great job in different lighting and modes. The 13MP front camera clicks some neat selfies too.
