iQOO 15

Let’s start with the two current flagships and the most powerful phones in this budget. First, the iQOO 15 that is powered by Qualcomm’s current flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which is a performance monster. You can get its 12 GB RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.1 storage variant in this budget. This phone has a 10-bit 6.85-inch HDR10+ compliant LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels, 144 Hz refresh rate and 6000 nits peak brightness.

iQOO 15

The iQOO 15 has three 50MP cameras at the back, starting with the primary with OIS (optical image stabilisation), accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide unit with auto-focus that provides macro photography capabilities as well. The third 50MP camera has a periscope telephoto lens with OIS that provides 3X optical zoom and is useful for portrait photography too. The 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls quite well.

The iQOO 15 is fitted with a large 7000 mAh battery that can keep the phone running for up to two days of moderate use. The bundled 100W fast charger promises to top it up briskly. Realme GT 8 Pro

The Realme GT 8 Pro too is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and you get 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage to go with it. It has a 6.79-inch QHD+ 10-bit LTPO AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 7000 nits peak brightness. The HDR10+ and Dolby Vision compliant screen is protected against scratches by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Realme’s current flagship phone flaunts an IP69-rated ingress protection that allows you to do underwater photography as well. Speaking of which, the camera department here consists of two 50MP cameras at the back, the primary with OIS and an ultra-wide shooter with 116-degrees FOV. In addition, you get a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS that offers 3X optical zoom. The phone lets you record videos at up to 8K resolution.

A large 7000 mAh battery keeps the phone powered for over two days of moderate use, and the bundled 120W fast charger can juice it up fully in under 45 minutes. It also supports 50W fast wireless charging. The Realme GT 8 Pro runs the latest Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0, and the company has promised at least four major OS updates for this device.

OnePlus 13

The former OnePlus flagship remains an excellent option in this budget and with ample money to spare. Also, it is better than its successor on more than one count. The OnePlus 13 also has an IP68/IP69-rated ingress protection. You get a large 6.82-inch QHD+ LTPO4 AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 4500 nits, 120 Hz variable refresh rate and compliance with Dolby Vision and HDR10+. It is protected by a layer of Ceramic Guard glass.

The OnePlus 13 is powered by Qualcomm’s previous flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which is still amply powerful, and you can now get its top variant with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage comfortably in this budget.

A big 6000 mAh battery keeps the phone powered for close to two days of moderate use and supports 100W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging. The phone now runs the latest OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 with at least three major Android updates to follow.

The impressive rear camera department is loaded with three 50MP units that outperform those on the OnePlus 15. The primary camera has a Sony LYT-808 sensor with OIS. The support cast includes a 50MP ultrawide camera with auto-focus that also doubles up as a macro camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS that provides 3X optical zoom.

Unlike its successor, Hasselblad colour tuning and portrait tricks are available here. The 32MP front camera does a good job with selfies and video calls.

Samsung Galaxy S25 5G

If you like compact phones, the Samsung Galaxy S25 is a great option. It has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with a peak brightness of 2600 nits, HDR10+ compliance and 120 Hz refresh rate. Despite being compact, it is quite sturdy with an IP68 rating to guard it against dust and water ingression, an Armor Aluminium 2 frame and a glass back with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which also protects its screen.

The S25 is powered by Qualcomm’s previous flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and one can get its 12 GB RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.0 internal storage variant comfortably in this budget. You can even get its 512 GB variant for 12K more but we wouldn’t recommend spending so much on just the extra storage. A 4000 mAh battery keeps it powered for a day of moderate use and supports wireless charging too. The phone launched with Android 15 and Samsung’s One UI 7 with the company promising a whopping seven years of software updates for this device.

Photography department on the Samsung Galaxy S25 is largely carried forward from the S24 and pretty much what you get on the S26 as well. It consists of three cameras at the back - a 50MP primary with dual pixel PDAF and OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide shooter with Super Steady video support and a 10MP telephoto camera with OIS for 3X optical zoom. You also get a 12MP front camera with PDAF for selfies and video calls. The camera performance is best in class, and can also record videos in up to 8K resolution.

If you prefer a larger phone with similar specs but with a higher resolution display, and one that’s incredibly slim (less than 6 mm), you should consider the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge 5G that’s currently selling for just under 70K.

Google Pixel 10

The Pixel 10 is another compact phone packed with great features and AI tricks that seem to get better with time. It is powered by Google’s current flagship Tensor G5 processor and you get 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage to go with it. It sports a sharp 6.3-inch Full HD+ OLED display with HDR10+ compliance, 120 Hz refresh rate and 3000 nits peak brightness. The screen as well as its glass back are protected against scratches by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

This phone too sports an IP68-rated ingress protection. As you expect from Pixel phones, you get the purest version of Android 16 with the Material 3 Expressive design language. Just like Samsung, Google too promises an incredible seven years of OS and security updates for this phone, keeping it fresh and secure for long. Other than speedy OS updates, Pixel phones are known for their camera capabilities, and the Pixel 10 does not disappoint.

You get a 48MP primary camera with dual-pixel PDAF and OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degrees FOV and PDAF that lets you capture some excellent macro shots too in addition to its primary functionality.
