The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly removed Suryakumar Yadav as the skipper of the Indian T20I squad. The announcement of a new T20I captain is expected to be made on Thursday by the cricket board.

The decision comes just months after the Men in Blue's historic 2026 T20 World Cup title-winning campaign at home. Suryakumar led India's charge as they became the first-ever side to successfully defend the T20 World Cup silverware.
