Afghanistan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz made the festival of Diwali a lot happier for a lot of underprivileged Indians with his kind act that was captured on camera by a radio jockey. In a video that was posted by Love Shah on Instagram and later shared by IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders on X (formerly Twitter), Gurbaz reportedly can be seen distributing money to homeless people in Ahmedabad.Gurbaz's kind act has gone viral on social media and the video of the same has been shared multiple times.The Afghanistan batter was seen on the streets of Ahmedabad after his team wrapped up their 2023 Cricket World Cup campaign with a loss against South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Afghanistan failed to qualify for the semi-finals but finished a creditable sixth having won four out of nine matches and also qualified for the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan.The Afghanistan team has been quite popular among Indian fans and received a lot of support form the locals across all their nine matches.Gurbaz in the World Cup scored 280 runs in nine matches at an average of 31.11 and a strike rate of 98.93. He made fifties in the team's famous wins over England and Pakistan.He played for KKR in IPL 2023.
