IPL: TATA Group pays record-breaking money to continue as title sponsor till 2028

TATA Group will be paying a record-breaking Rs 2500 crore — the highest-ever sponsorship amount in the history of the IPL — for the five-year deal which runs from 2024 to 2028.

TATA Group will continue to be the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the next five years, the BCCI confirmed on Saturday. The TATA Group will be paying a record-breaking Rs 2500 crore — the highest-ever sponsorship amount in the history of the IPL — for the five-year deal which runs from 2024 to 2028. This means TATA will be paying Rs 500 crore a year to remain IPL's title sponsor.The TATA Group previously held the title sponsorship rights for the IPL in 2022 and 2023 and is also the title sponsor of the Women’s Premier League, the biggest women’s T20 league in the world.Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary of BCCI, said: "We are elated to announce the partnership with the TATA Group as the Title Sponsors of the IPL.
