India women vs England women Toss news: India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has won the toss and opted to bat against England in the one-off Test at the DY PAtil Stadium in Mumbai.
In the first Test for India at home since 2014, Jemimah Rodrigues, Renuka Singh and Satheesh Shubha have been handed their Test caps for India. Only Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana were part of the Indian team that played a home Test nine years ago.
India have gone for a combination of three spinners in Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana and Rajeshwari Gayakwad, with the offspin option of Harmanpreet also available. There were two seamers in Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka.
India women's cricket team are playing their first Test since 2021.
