IND vs ENG 5th T20: Former British PM Rishi Sunak meets Suryakumar Yadav and Jos Buttler at Wankhede Stadium

Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made a special appearance at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, where he met with cricket stars Suryakumar Yadav and Jos Buttler ahead of the fifth T20I match between India and England.

Sunak, accompanied by BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla, was seen engaging in a warm conversation with both captains shortly after the toss. His presence added a touch of political allure to the exciting cricketing atmosphere, drawing attention from fans and media alike.

Before heading to the stadium, Sunak visited the Parsee Gymkhana in Mumbai earlier in the day, where he took part in a friendly game of tennis ball cricket with the locals.

The former PM seemed to embrace the spirit of the game wholeheartedly, sharing a snapshot on his social media handle on platform, X. In the post, Sunak was pictured holding a bat, surrounded by a group of people watching him play. He captioned the photo, "No trip to Mumbai would be complete without a game of tennis ball cricket."

In the fifth T20I between India and England, Jos Buttler won the toss and chose to bowl first.
