ILT20 2024: MI Emirates announce Australia's Tim David as wildcard signing for new season
David will reunite with MI New York teammates Nicholas Pooran, Trent Boult and Noshtush Kenjige aligning with Dwayne Bravo, Amabti Rayudu, Muhammad Waseem, Odean Smith among others, at MI Emirates.

Mumbai Indians Emirates have announced Australia batter Tim David as their "wildcard player" ahead of the 2024 season of the International League T20 tournament in the UAE. David has previously plied trade with Mumbai Indians in the IPL, MI Cape Town in SA20 and MI New York in the Major League Cricket tournament. David was part of the MI New York team that won the inaugural edition of the MLC last year.
David will reunite with MI New York teammates Nicholas Pooran, Trent Boult and Noshtush Kenjige aligning with Dwayne Bravo, Amabti Rayudu, Muhammad Waseem, Odean Smith among others, at MI Emirates.
David had joined Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL in 2022 and has scored 417 runs from 24 matches across the two seasons for MI.
The ILT20 tournament had introduced a wildcard feature ahead of the 2024 edition which allows franchises to make two additional signings apart from the original list of 22 players. The signings can be made anytime during the season.
MI Emirates begin their campaign against Dubai Capitals on Saturday.
