Sai Sudharsan delivered a blistering spectacle in the Indian Premier League 2026 season as the GT opener smashed a sweltering hundred against RCB at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday. It is Sai's third IPL ton after smashing one each in the past two seasons.

GT made a strong start against RCB at the Chinnaswamy, with openers Sai Sudharsan and skipper Shubman Gill standing their ground and going big against the hosts' bowling attack.

Sai Sudharsan smashes third IPL hundred

Sai Sudharsan brought up his third IPL hundred off 57 deliveries against RCB and has announced his arrival in form. While he did not have a great start to the season, Sudharsan has picked up the pace as the competition moves ahead.

Sudharsan toyed with the RCB's bowling attack, which features genuine wicket-takers like Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya, as he sent their deliveries flying towards the ropes.

The GT opener looked fearless as skipper Shubman Gill helped him forge a 128-run stand. Gill was eventually dismissed at 32, but Sai continued in his stride while partnering with Jos Buttler, who scored 25 off 16 deliveries.

With his third IPL ton, Sai Sudharsan has become the first Indian to score an IPL hundred in three consecutive seasons.

Sudharsan's knock receives praise on social media

Following Sai Sudharsan's hundred against RCB, fans expressed their delight as the opener returned to form.

Cricketer Shreevats Goswami believes Sai Sudharsan looked like a white-ball player tailor-made for the One-Day format.

Fans also shared their excitement over Sudharsan's third IPL ton.

Sai Sudharsan also accomplished a significant achievement after becoming the fastest batter to score 2000 IPL runs. The GT opener secured the feat in just 47 innings, surpassing Chris Gayle's record.
