Rinku Singh recreates last-over IPL magic in LSG vs KKR game; Digvesh Rathi at receiving end this time

Rinku Singh once again reminded everyone of his incredible finishing ability during the IPL 2026 clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders. The left-hander produced another stunning late-innings knock, this time taking on Digvesh Rathi in the final over to recreate his famous 2023 heroics.

Back in 2023, Rinku had scripted one of the most unbelievable finishes in T20 history, which landed him a job in the Indian team. Playing against Gujarat Titans, KKR needed 29 runs in the last over to win. With Yash Dayal bowling, Rinku smashed five consecutive sixes off the final five balls to seal a memorable victory.

Fast forward to IPL 2026, and Rinku once again stepped up when his team needed him the most. With KKR struggling at 73/6, the pressure was immense. However, Rinku played a brilliant innings, scoring a career-best 83 not out off 51 balls to rescue his side.

In the final over, he went on the offensive again, smashing four consecutive sixes, this time against Digvesh Rathi. His late assault helped KKR reach a competitive total of 155/7 in 20 overs.

Lucknow Super Giants are under pressure in their chase of 156, reaching 78/3 in 12.2 overs. Skipper Rishabh Pant was the latest to fall after scoring 42 off 38 balls. Earlier, Aiden Markram was dismissed for 31 off 27 balls and couldn’t convert his start into a big innings.

With 78 runs still needed off 46 balls, the required run rate has climbed above 10, putting the pressure firmly on the middle order. Nicholas Pooran is currently at the crease, and LSG will depend heavily on him to pull off the chase.
