Bhuvi was the pick of the RCB bowlers with figures of 4/23 and later struck a crucial six in the final over of RCB’s chase.

Allah Ghazanfar bowls the crucial 18th. Could have had Pandya dismissed in the first ball, only for a mix-up between Dhir and Tilak resulting in an opportunity slipping out of MI’s grasp. Dhir did throw the ball towards Tilak just as he was about to go over the boundary rope but Tilak thinks he’s touched the boundary cushion. And Krunal doesn’t bother running either – not that he can – assuming it’s a six. The southpaw is unable to run, but smashes the spinner for two sixes in the next three balls, clearing long-on and cow corner, but perishes while attempting to collect a third maximum, with Tilak completing a brilliant juggling catch at wide long on! Chahar signs off with figures of 2/33, both of his wickets coming in successive overs in the powerplay, conceding six in his final over. Starts with a dot to Krunal but makes up for it right away with a dot, in which Krunal cops a painful blow on his abdomen and also appears to be struggling with cramps. Jitesh Sharma opens his account in style, lofting a length delivery from Raj Bawa over long off. Pandya puts the inexperienced seamer under more pressure two balls later with a well-timed pull towards the square leg fence for a four. Seamer Raj Bawa is introduced for the first time in the 11th over, and Pandya puts him under pressure right away with a boundary off his second delivery, targeting the vacant long off fence with a straight bat.
