Will MS Dhoni return to IPL action in CSK vs GT? Huge update surfaces ahead of Chepauk showdown
The Chennai Super Kings return to Chepauk for their clash against Gujarat Titans, who are desperate to revive themselves after consecutive losses. While CSK have regained momentum under Ruturaj Gaikwad, speculation continues around MS Dhoni’s comeback.

The Gujarat Titans would attempt to turn the tables in their favour when they face the Chennai Super Kings in match one of the Sunday double-header at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Following consecutive losses, the Shubman Gill-led side is vying to remain in contention for the playoffs.
Chennai Super Kings have revived themselves after battling struggles, and despite not having MS Dhoni, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side is pushing to make an impact and now has a chance to extend its points by securing another victory.
Amid growing anticipation for the afternoon fixture, a major update has emerged regarding Dhoni on whether he would be back in action today.
Huge MS Dhoni Update surfaces
CSK head coach Stephen Fleming did not reveal Dhoni's status for Sunday but said, "He’s progressing well. He’s on the road to recovery and doing everything that’s being asked of him."
But as per The Indian Express, Dhoni has regained full fitness but is delaying his comeback as he does not want to alter the combination in the past couple of matches since it looks settled. Sources have also mentioned that he is unwilling to take over a youngster's spot in the team.
'Thala' has been attending training camps with the Chennai Super Kings and looked in top gear, and can join the squad. But given that the team is regaining momentum, shaking up the playing squad would not be ideal as they aim to forge a comeback.
CSK eye third consecutive win
The Chennai Super Kings are currently fifth in the table and are coming off a smashing 103-run victory over the Mumbai Indians. Sanju Samson's limitless hundred and bowler Akeal Hosein's momentous 4/17 spell helped CSK hand MI their biggest-ever defeat in IPL history.
CSK return to their den at the MA Chidambaram Stadium for their scheduled match against the Gujarat Titans, who are looking to forge a comeback as well.
