An uncapped India pacer Mohsin Khan produced a brilliant spell to silence rising star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during the IPL 2026 clash between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium on Wednesday. Sooryavanshi has looked in great touch so far in the season, with even top bowlers struggling to contain him.

In the match against LSG, Sooryavanshi had started confidently, hitting a couple of boundaries earlier in the innings. But Mohsin came into the attack with a clear plan and executed it perfectly. In his very first over, the left-arm pacer bowled five consecutive dot balls, building immense pressure on the young batter.

RR fail to post a competitive total

Earlier in the innings, Mohammed Shami had already given Lucknow Super Giants a strong start by picking up two quick wickets. He dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal after the batter had smashed three consecutive boundaries, and then got Dhruv Jurel on the very next delivery.

RR were eventually restricted to 159/6 in 20 overs, with Ravindra Jadeja providing some late runs as he remained unbeaten on 43 off 29 balls. LSG will need 160 runs to win the match and regain their momentum. Shami, Mohsin, and Prince Yadav were the pick of the bowlers as they took two wickets each.
