Delhi Capitals fast bowler Lungi Ngidi provided a reassuring update on his health after suffering a nasty head injury during the Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings clash on Sunday. The scary situation unfolded in the second innings when the Proteas seamer attempted a catch but hit his head during the fall as he could not land properly.

The South African pacer received medical assistance and was stretchered off the field and into an ambulance, which took him to Max Hospital in Rajendra Nagar, Delhi.

On Sunday, Ngidi expressed gratitude to everyone for their kind messages and revealed on social media that everything is good.

Delhi Police creates green corridor for Ngidi

The Delhi traffic police created a green corridor to ensure Ngidi was transferred to the hospital without any delay. The ambulance reached BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital at Rajendra Nagar in just 11 minutes during peak office-hour traffic, ensuring timely medical care for the bowler.

Regarding the match, the Delhi Capitals posted a whopping 264/4, with KL Rahul smashing 152 not out off 67 deliveries. Nitish Rana scored 91 off 44 and forged a robust partnership to elevate the score, which at one point looked unassailable.

But Punjab Kings pulled off one of the greatest chases in T20 cricket, with Prabhsimran Singh (76) and skipper Shreyas Iyer playing anchor, completing a record run quest in Delhi and remaining unbeaten in the competition.
