Lucknow Super Giants have finally received a big boost as their pace sensation Mayank Yadav returned to the playing XI after a long injury break of almost one year in the IPL 2026 clash against Rajasthan Royals.

The young fast bowler, who was bought for a massive Rs 11 crore, made his comeback at a crucial time for Lucknow, who are struggling for form. He replaced Avesh Khan in the lineup. Captain Rishabh Pant confirmed at the toss that Mayank is one of the key changes in the bowling attack.

On the other side, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag admitted he was confused at the toss but is comfortable with batting first. He said the pitch could slow down later in the game, which might make batting first a good option. Parag also praised openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for their recent performances.
