India women’s cricket team enjoyed a memorable and highly successful 2025, a year that marked their maiden ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup triumph, achieved in style on home soil. They capped off the season with a memorable 5-0 clean sweep of Sri Lanka in T20Is.

Meanwhile, the Indian women's team has a packed and exciting calendar lined up in 2026, with major overseas tours, a T20 World Cup campaign, and a historic Test match at Lord’s. From the Women’s Premier League at the start of the year to the Asian Games later in the season, the Women in Blue will be busy across all formats.

The year will begin with the Women’s Premier League (WPL), which is scheduled to be held in January-February, a slight shift from last season when it took place in February-March. The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 is slated to be held during the same period and hence a shift.

India Women tour of Australia (February-March 2026)

After the WPL 2025, India will travel to Australia for a full all-format tour. The series will include three T20Is, three ODIs and one Test match, making it one of India’s toughest challenges of the year.

India Women tour of England (May-July 2026)

Following the Australia tour, India will head to England for a white-ball series before the T20 World Cup. The tour includes three T20Is and a historic one-off Test match.

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 (June-July)

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be held in England and Wales from June to July, and it will be the main focus of India’s 2026 season. India are placed in Group 1 and will play five league matches before the semi-finals and final.

Historic women’s Test at Lord’s

After the T20 World Cup, India and England will create history by playing the first-ever women’s Test match at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. While Lord’s has hosted many famous matches and World Cup finals, this will be the first time it stages a women’s Test.


  • Fri, 10 Jul to Mon, 13 Jul 2026 – Only Test, Lord’s (3:30 pm IST)

Asian Games 2026

Later in the year, women’s cricket will also feature at the Asian Games 2026, scheduled to be held in Aichi and Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4. India are expected to be a strong contender at the multi-sport event as well.
