India will look to bounce back in the second T20I against Ireland in Belfast on Sunday after suffering a shocking defeat in the series opener. The loss marked India’s first-ever defeat to Ireland in international cricket, handing the hosts a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.

Despite the setback, India still have a proud record to defend. The team has gone unbeaten in 16 consecutive bilateral series, a streak that is now under serious threat after the opening result. Ireland, on the other hand, are now dreaming of a historic bilateral series win over India.

India, meanwhile, may consider bringing in 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who was left out of the playing XI in the first match. The youngster remains one of the biggest talking points after his rapid rise, and a debut in the second T20I is still on the cards despite Shreyas Iyer and Gautam Gambhir deciding otherwise on Friday.
