Team India will take on Ireland in the series‑deciding second T20 international match in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on Sunday. The Lorcan Tucker‑led Irish side stunned the Men in Blue with a 34‑run victory at the Stormont Cricket Ground to claim a 1‑0 lead.

While the Men in Blue cannot win the series outright, they still have the chance to stage a comeback and level it.

The Shreyas Iyer-led side managed to pick up a smashing start, with bowlers Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh picking up key wickets in powerplay overs. But Ireland managed to pull off a late surge, with captain Lorcan Tucker (50) and Gareth Delany (49) putting up clinical performances to help Ireland put up 182/9 on the scoreboard.

Team India stuttered heavily with the bat, with only Abhishek Sharma managing to put up 50 runs on the board. But the batters could not withstand the Irish bowlers in unfamiliar conditions, and they went on to make history after defeating India for the first time across formats.

One of the key storylines to watch will be whether 15‑year‑old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi finally makes his highly anticipated India debut. Having missed out on the playing XI for the opening T20, his inclusion in the series‑deciding clash against Ireland remains uncertain.

The Civil Service Cricket Club in Stormont, Belfast, traditionally assists the bowlers, with seamers being able to exploit the surface well. Batting could be tricky in the beginning, but the surface eases out during chases.
