GT vs SRH Playing 11 Live Updates: GT skipper Shubman Gill says they would have bowled first as well

(On GT’s superior record over SRH) I mean, we’re going to see about that. You know, I’m not the one about stats and all these things, but we were also looking to bowl first. But this looks like a better wicket than we have had in the past couple of matches on this particular wicket. (On the mindset of the team) It’s all about being consistent, being consistent with your thought process, being consistent with your execution as much as possible. And this is the last bit of the end of the tournament and it’s very important to be able to bring your A-game and give it your best. We’re going with the same team.

GT vs SRH Playing 11 Live Updates: Here's what SRH skipper Pat Cummins said at the toss

We’re going to bowl. Not played here before, want to have a first look with the ball first and then look to chase. Hopefully it gets easier later. There’s always different variables. You look at it all but it’s still a bit of a gut feel. Not really, we’ve earned the right to give ourselves to get a few chances to make the final. We have three games left. Nothing to lose now. No changes

GT vs SRH Playing 11 Live Updates: Eoin Morgan and Sunil Gavaskar share pitch report from Ahmedabad

We look short-sided today with the grounds I mentioned, 64 metres out to my left, 70 metres wide, 74 straight back over the bowler’s head. Sunny G, the legend, joins me. Sunny, we’re on pitch 5 today. What do you see? Well, I see a fair bit of grass on the surface, which is very good as far as the seam bowlers are concerned, and both teams have got really top-quality new ball users. So I think we’ll be able to see a little bit of movement there. You’ll be able to see maybe the odd play and miss, but what this grass will also do is help the ball to come onto the bat quite nicely. And that is what batters are looking for. Batters are also standing deep in the crease to be able to make even the good length ball into the slot ball. So, yes, I think runs are on offer, but again, like you said, this is not exactly a small ground here. Yes, one side might be a little bit smaller, but I see plenty of runs here. Spinners, finger spinners in particular, might struggle a little bit, but the wrist spinner can get the ball to turn everywhere. But I still believe that this is a pitch good enough for a 190-plus score today. Two games already on this surface this year where PBKS 163 wasn’t enough. 199 was already enough for the Mumbai Indians. Good surface, should be a belting game.

GT vs SRH Playing 11 Live Updates: Welcome to the live coverage

Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad are about to go up against each other. Toss takes place soon. Stay tuned as we bring you latest updates.

RR vs GT LIVE Updates, Playing 11 and Toss News: Two teams in superb form, Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad, take on each other in what will be their 12th match of the Indian Premier League 2026. The match takes place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday evening (May 12).

The match holds immense significance for both the teams as the winner in this clash will become the first team to get to 16 points which is considered to be the safe spot for finishing in top four. The winner will also become the table topper and will boost their chances of taking one of the top-two spots.

GT were struggling with three wins and four losses at the halfway mark in the tournament but since then they have won four back-to-back matches. Shubman Gill's men now have 14 points in 11 matches and are tied with table-toppers Royal Challengers Bengaluru and second-placed SRH on points.

Their bowling is breathing fire and the top three is also consistently finding runs. The inclusion of Jason Holder has helped them add depth to their batting as well as their bowling.

SRH too were struggling early in the season but with six wins in their last seven games, they have turned their form around spectacularly. A punt on lesser known players has taken their bowling to another level while their batting was already the most dangerous in the tournament.

Pat Cummins and Co will hope to continue their good form going into the final phase of the league stage.
