While Sruyakumar picked Bumrah as his first choice to bowl the final over, Gill said having Rohit Sharma till the end will be his preferred choice.

Here are the responses from Suryakumar, Gill and Harmanpreet:

Suryakumar Yadav: “Bumrah definitely. Though I don’t want to take any credit away from Arshdeep Singh, but then, definitely, Jaspreet Bumrah. Hardik? Definitely, Hardik Pandya.”

Harmanpreet Kaur: “I think, Deepti. Batting. I think Smriti (Mandhana). She has been getting all the awards, and she deserved to play that over.”

Shubman Gill: Uh… “I mean, Arshdeep, if he’s not bowling wide yorkers. Sometimes one over becomes a 2-over over. If Rohit Bhai is there till the end, it would be amazing.”

They were also asked if there was one match they would want to replay again.

Suryakumar Yadav: “Definitely, the 2023 World Cup Final, at Ahmedabad. Love to replay that again and win it.”

Harmanpreet Kaur: “Personal scores that give you, you know, a little bit of happiness, but winning a trophy, that means everything. I think the World Cup final, 2017, if we can, again, at least last 10 overs, not more, at least that’s there, nobody we can play again and yeah.”

Shubman Gill: “Surya bhai said the ’23 final. So I think one match that I had to really, I think the Oval match that we want, just to relive the whole experience again. I think it was a great match to be in a great series to be a part of.”
