Axar Patel upset over DC letting go of chances

Skipper Axar Patel regretted DC repeating mistakes and letting go of chances against the opposition. He also said that they deserved to lose as they did not support the bowlers.

Axar added that a couple of results would’ve come their way if they had capitalised on the crucial moments.

"We're making the same mistakes repeatedly. If you don't support the bowlers on such a wicket, I think you deserve to lose. At the same time, our bowling unit also needs to take a look [at them], given their score in the powerplay. If we grab the crucial moments, two or three results would have gone our way," Axar Patel said after the match.

PBKS secure win vs DC, deliver record chase

The Delhi Capitals kicked off the match with a clinical performance, with KL Rahul and Nitish Rana forging a brilliant 200+ partnership to trouble the PBKS bowling attack. Rana delivered 91 off 44, while KL Rahul smashed records with a brilliant 152* off just 67 deliveries.

DC scored a staggering 264/2, setting up a monumental task for PBKS during the chase.

But Punjab Kings delivered one of the greatest run chases in T20 cricket after putting up 265 runs in just 18.5 overs. They are now at the top of the table with 13 points and remain unbeaten in the competition so far.
