Blockbuster filmmaker SS Rajamouli known for directing biggies like RRR and Baahubali franchise, experienced an earthquake on Thursday (21 March) in Japan along with his son SS Karthikeya.

As per reports, Japan was hit by an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.3. Taking to X, Karthikeya shared a picture of his smartwatch featuring the earthquake alert and shared the experience by tagging Shobu Yarlagadda and dad SS Rajamouli.

He wrote, “Felt a freaking earthquake in Japan just now!!! Was on the 28th floor and slowly the ground started to move and took us a while to realise it was an earthquake. I was just about to panic but all the Japanese around did not budge as if it just started to rain!! Experience an earthquake box ticked. ✅,”

For the unversed, Rajamouli, Karthikeya and Shobu landed in Japan recently for a special screening of RRR. The filmmaker also shared a special update on SSMB29 his next with Mahesh Babu. The Baahubali director said, “We started my next film. We completed the writing and we are in the pre-production process. But we haven’t finished the casting yet. Only hero is locked, his name is Mahesh Babu. He is a very good actor. Many of you know him. He is very handsome. Hopefully, we finish the film a little bit fast and during the release I will bring him here.”
