The reported Rs 1 crore bonus

A report by Bollywood Hungama has revealed how t  he actor has received a bonus of Rs 1 crore post the blockbuster success of Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller. A source said, “Rakesh Bedi was paid Rs. 50 lakhs for Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge. After the release of the second part and its historic success, Aditya Dhar, who directed the films and is also one of the producers, along with his brother and partner Lokesh Dhar, handed him a cheque of Rs. 1 crore. In short, it was double the fee he had charged for the franchise.”

Rakesh Bedi denies the claims

Sharing a video on his Instagram, the veteran actor said, “I have been sent these videos and approached by people asking if I have received 1 crore from Dhurandhar. So I want to ask, where is it lying, whose house is it kept in, whose pocket is it in, just tell me yaar, tell me where someone has buried it so I can go get it, because it hasn’t come into my account yet. It’s not showing in my account.”

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, David Dhawan spoke about Rakesh Bedi and revealed, “It has been 50 years since our friendship since FTII. And he has worked in a lot of films of mine. He’s in Hai Jawaani To Ishq Hona Hai also. I told him in 50 years they didn’t recognise you, but he was always a good actor. He’s crossing 70 and now getting recognition. He fully deserved it.”
