Aamir Khan to leave Mumbai and relocate to Chennai? Here's what we know

Aamir Khan recently took a break from acting, however, it does not mean at all that the superstar has not been working. Post the box office debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha, Mr Perfectionist announced his sabbatical saying that he wishes to spend some quality time with his loved ones, and it seems he is doing exactly that. If the latest report in India Today is to be believed, Aamir Khan plans to shift his base to Chennai from Mumbai. Going by the report, the PK star will be relocating due to personal reasons.

Aamir Khan to relocate to Chennai?

According to the reports, Aamir Khan has decided to shift his base to Chennai for the coming two months for his mother, Zeenat Hussain's treatment. As per reports, Mr Perfectionist's mother is not keeping well.

She is reportedly under the care of a private medical facility in Chennai at the moment. The sources claim that the 3 Idiots actor wishes to be by his mother's side right now. The sources further claim that Aamir Khan will most likely be staying in a hotel close to the medical facility. He wished to be able to visit his mother whenever needed.

As mentioned earlier, Aamir Khan has currently taken some time off from acting. Nevertheless, Mr Perfectionist has recently announced his next, Sitaare Zameen Par. Revealing titbits regarding the venture to News 18, Aamir Khan was quoted saying, "I’m starring in and producing this film Sitaare Zameen Par. We are going ten steps ahead with the theme of Taare Zameen Par. That film made you cry, this one will make you laugh. In Taare, I helped Darsheel’s character, but in this film, nine people, with their own set of problems, will help me."

In addition to this, Mr Perfectionist has turned producer for Sunny Deol starrer Lahore 1947. It must be noted here that the project will mark the first professional collaboration between the two actors. Despite being a part of the industry for such a long time, these two stalwarts have never shared screen space.
