Toyota has launched the Urban Cruiser Ebella E3 electric SUV in India at Rs 23.6 lakh, offering a 61 kWh battery with a claimed 543 km range

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced the prices of the all-electric Urban Cruiser Ebella E3 at Rs 23,60,000 (ex-showroom). The top trim of the EV is equipped with a 61 kWh battery pack, which delivers a claimed range of 543 km. Bookings for the Toyota Ebella have been underway since January this year. The SUV is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara.

The new EV SUV boasts a blend of spacious versatility with a strong and sophisticated SUV stance. Beyond its EV prowess, the latest addition to Toyota’s lineup stands out with its aerodynamic silhouette, premium LED lighting, dual-tone exterior, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The SUV differentiates itself from its Maruti counterpart with sleeker headlamps, segmented LED DRLs, and a gloss-black sealed-off grille, along with a neatly designed dual-tone bumper featuring functional air vents on either side.

Toyota Ebella Interior

The Ebella offers a 10.1-inch digital driver’s display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The front seats are ventilated, while the rear seats feature slide, recline, and 40:20:40 split-folding functions. Other highlights include 12-colour ambient lighting and a JBL sound system.

Set to offer passengers robust safety equipment, the Urban Cruiser Ebella comes with seven airbags and disc brakes on all four wheels. Additional safety features include a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a Level 2 ADAS suite featuring lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

Performance Specs

The Urban Cruiser Ebella is equipped with a 61 kWh battery pack that produces 128 kW of power and 193 Nm of torque. The 41 kWh battery pack offers a claimed range of 440 km. Both versions are powered by a front-axle-mounted electric motor, producing 144 hp on the 49 kWh variant and 174 hp on the 61 kWh variant.

The Ebella supports both AC and DC fast charging and comes with a host of smart charging features, including remote charging operation and battery monitoring through Toyota’s i-Connect system.

To ensure a smoother shift to EVs from the conventional ICE vehicles, Toyota is also offering an 8-year battery warranty, an assured buyback option, Battery-as-a-Service plans, and other attractive financial schemes. The company further highlighted that over 500 BEV service touchpoints across the country have been upgraded with the latest BEV diagnostic tools and advanced infrastructure.
