Range Rover SV price slashed by Rs 75 Lakh ahead of India–UK FTA rollout
Jaguar Land Rover has reduced prices of its imported luxury SUVs in India, including the Range Rover SV, following the India–UK FTA

After the India–UK FTA deal signed last year, Jaguar Land Rover India has significantly reduced prices of import-spec vehicles across its lineup. This includes the SV variants of the Range Rover and its sport SUV range.
With the recent price cut, the Range Rover SV now costs Rs 3.5 crore (ex-showroom), down by Rs 75 lakh from the previous price of Rs4.25 crore. The Range Rover Sport SV edition is now priced at Rs 2.35 crore, a reduction of Rs 40 lakh from Rs 2.75 crore.
This marks the second instance of price reductions in the luxury car segment within a year. In September 2025, the company had cut prices by up to ₹30.4 lakh across the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport lineup following GST 2.0 reforms.
Defender and Discovery prices remain unchanged
Prices of all locally assembled models, which are taxed lower than fully imported units, will remain unchanged. These include variants such as the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Evoque, Velar, and Discovery Sport.
Prices of the Land Rover Defender and Discovery also remain unchanged, as both are manufactured in Slovakia and therefore do not qualify for benefits under the India–UK FTA.
The India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), signed on July 24, 2025, and expected to come into effect soon, will significantly reduce import duties on large-engine completely built unit (CBU) cars from the UK. This applies to petrol models above 3,000 cc and diesel models above 2,500 cc. Under the agreement, import duty will drop from 110% to 30%.
The benefit will be subject to an annual quota beginning at 20,000 vehicles in the first year. This quota will be shared among all eligible British luxury brands, making allocation as important as pricing. Alongside Jaguar Land Rover, brands such as Bentley Motors, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Aston Martin, and McLaren Automotive will also be eligible for phased duty reductions.
