Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift launched in India: price, specs, and range revealed

Hyundai has launched the new facelifted Ioniq 5 at Rs 55.7 lakh, featuring a larger battery, refreshed design, and updated technology and safety features. The car is based on Hyundai’s GMP platform and continues to be the flagship in Hyundai’s Indian lineup.

The biggest change in the new launch is the larger 84.0 kWh battery pack, which replaces the outgoing model’s 72.6 kWh unit. Hyundai claims an ARAI-certified range of up to 690 km, making it one of the highest-selling EVs in India.

While the brand has not revealed updated power figures for the India-spec model, globally the rear-wheel-drive version with the 84 kWh battery produces 229 hp and 350 Nm of peak torque.

Hyundai continues with its signature parametric pixel styling, with a few updates. The car gets a revised bumper, new skid plates, and alloy wheels. The rear has been refreshed with a new bumper, while the pixel lighting remains unchanged.

Inside, the Ioniq 5 features a dual-screen layout with two 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. The centre console now includes buttons for seat heating and ventilation.

On the technology front, the facelift adds Hyundai Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, over-the-air updates, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The update also brings remote immobilisation via the Hyundai Bluelink system, along with parking collision avoidance assist and side parking distance warning.

The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be available with an Obsidian Black interior theme and exterior colour options including Gravity Gold Matte, Midnight Black Pearl, Titan Grey, and Optic White.
