Hyundai Ioniq 3 design leaks ahead of debut: First look at the new electric hatchback

Just as Hyundai prepares to unveil the all-new Ioniq 3 in a few hours, its final look appears to have leaked online. Images of both the exterior and interior are making the rounds across the internet even before the official unveiling in Milan; enthusiast groups have already begun sharing images of the new model.

The swarm of leaks suggests that the Ioniq 3 will be a hatchback with crossover styling cues. Positioned in the lineup above the Inster and below the Kona Electric, the front end of the vehicle features split LED lighting with an array of illuminated dots in the center console. The boisterous look is further enhanced by the presence of heavy plastic cladding.

The leaks showcase a range-topping N Line trim, which stands apart with sportier bumpers, integrated diffusers, a rear spoiler, and model-specific alloy wheels. All of these elements are finished in black, complemented by a slanting roofline that aligns seamlessly with the spoiler and the rear hatch.

Additional leaks reveal that the interior features a 14.6-inch freestanding touchscreen, while base models will receive a 12.9-inch unit. The "Pleo" infotainment system makes a comeback with the Ioniq 3, alongside an array of physical switches mounted above the climate vents and additional tactile controls.

EV Specifications

The Hyundai Ioniq 3 utilizes the same E-GMP architecture that powers the Kia EV3 and EV4, utilizing a 400-volt system. At launch, the car will be offered in two front-wheel-drive configurations:

Standard Range equipped with a 135 hp electric motor and a 42.2 kWh battery, offering 214 miles (344 km) of WLTP range. Long Range features a 147 hp electric motor and a larger 61 kWh battery, stretching the range to 496 km on a full charge.

An N Line version of the vehicle is also expected to be officially unveiled soon.
