BMW showcases upcoming X6 in India ahead of market launch

Right after the launch of the BMW M440i Convertible, BMW has showcased the upcoming X6 as well. The no-holds-barred SUV coupe is expected to be launched in the M60i xDrive variant in the coming months. The showcase marks the return of the X6 moniker to the Indian market, after it was discontinued in 2023.

Going by the details revealed in the international X6 M60i specification, the car would offer multi-contour seats with precise lateral support, for the interiors The cabin also features striking accent lighting with the M logo and sporty graphics. This specification would also include a panoramic Sky Lounge LED roof, creating a generous sense of space and, thanks to its LED-based lighting design, an elevated premium feel.

The M Sport Professional package would feature a matte kidney grille frame, M high-gloss Shadowline exterior trim, and distinctive styling accents. Red M Sport brakes would further blend bold design with strong performance. The M variant is expected to house a V8 engine under the hood that produces close to 523 horsepower. The available Adaptive M Suspension adjusts damping and suspension dynamics in real time, offering enhanced dynamics, greater cornering stability, and improved handling.

Performance Specs

The new X6 would still be offered with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid assist. With an overall output of 523 hp and 750 Nm of peak torque, the engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The M60i will also feature four-piston front and single-piston rear calipers. Rear-wheel steering is also offered on the coupe-SUV for easier handling.
