Bajaj Introduces 350cc Dominar with a lower price tag: What’s changed

After the launch of an all-new 350 cc lineup from Triumph, Bajaj has now introduced a smaller and reworked Dominar 400 in India. This is a significantly more affordable motorcycle that retains all the touring credentials of its predecessor. On the surface, the bike remains largely the same as the older version with changes in the engine. The tourer’s core proportions remain unchanged.

Users will still get a 157 mm ground clearance and a kerb weight of 193 kg. This means that the bike continues to feel substantial on the road. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends, maintaining its planted stance.

The biggest change here is the aggressive revision in pricing. The new Dominar is now priced at Rs 2,03,214 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it Rs 37,014 more affordable than before.

The price cut is courtesy of revised GST norms, which have allowed Bajaj to reposition the bike. Similar to the earlier version, the motorcycle continues to be offered in shades like Aurora Green and Charcoal Black. Visually, not much has changed about the bike.

While the engine size has been reduced, none of the other facets of the bike have been impacted. The bike continues with its upside-down fork and a monoshock. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends and are supported by dual-channel ABS.

The bike also retains its full LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, switchable traction control, and four new riding modes. The slip and assist clutch retains its place as well.

New GST Norms

The 56th GST Council meeting introduced key updates, with changes effective from 22nd September 2025. For motorcycles below 350 cc, the GST rate has been reduced from 28% to 18%, while for motorcycles above 350 cc, the GST rate has been increased from 28% to 40%, effective from 22nd September 202
