'Go home, this is not IPL': Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's on-field fight details revealed as report makes shocking claim

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is facing a lot of heat for his aggressive behaviour towards Sri Lanka A players after India A's dramatic super over loss on Monday but a report has now revealed inside details of the ugly incident that took place in Dambulla.

Sooryavanshi was seen pushing a Sri Lanka A player after the game finished and the Sri Lankan star too shoved the teenager back before teammates of both the sides intervened to calm things down.

Report reveals inside information

According to a report in Cricbuzz, Sooryavanshi's aggressive behaviour was actually a response of Sri Lanka A's consistent sledging towards the 15-year-old.

Vishen Halambage, the Sri Lanka A player at the center of the controversy, had reportedly tried to get under the skin of the teenager right from the start of the tri-series that also involves Afghanistan A.

The report states that Halambage, a batting all-rounder, had been targetting Sooryavanshi even in the first game between the two teams. India A had defeated Sri Lanka A in a thrilling first game of the tri-series where the Indian sensation scored only 14 runs.

The Sri Lankan all-rounder kept up with his sledging even during the super over on Monday. The report claims that the Halambage even told Sooryavanshi to "go home, this is not the IPL."

As soon as Sri Lanka A won the super over, Halambage charged towards Sooryavanshi and his partner Suryansh Shedge. The 15-year-old then charged back and things got heated before others intervened to calm it down.

The report states that some Sri Lankan veterans who are involved in the Indian Premier League have reached out to the 15-year-old to express regret over the incident. Some members of the Sri Lanka A team also were reportedly planning to extend an apology.

Meanwhile, the players have been sanctioned, the same publication reported with the exact details of punishment not known.
