Aamir Khan is one of the biggest names in Bollywood. Along with making headlines for his professional updates, Mr Perfectionist also stays in the news for his personal life. Commemorating World Mental Health Day today, 10 October, the actor appeared in a video alongside his daughter Ira Khan.

The latter recently published the clip on her official Instagram handle, along with the caption, "#imhuman". The video was also uploaded on the official account of Aamir Khan Productions. The father and daughter duo was seen sharing the benefits of therapy in this latest post on the photo-sharing app.

Aamir Khan's Instagram Video With Daughter Ira

The clip features Aamir and Ira Khan disclosing that they have benefitted from therapy in the last couple of years. The Laal Singh Chaddha actor said that taking therapy is as normal as going to a doctor, a teacher, or a carpenter for help. He said, "If you also feel like you're going through mental or emotional issues, you can seek a trained professional's help. There's no shame in that. All the best."

Actress Zareen Khan took to the comment section of the post and wrote, “Love the way you guys have explained that it’s ok to go to a doctor if the mental health isn’t feeling alright. A lot of ppl still look at going to a psychiatrist as a stigma.”

In the meantime, Ira Khan dropped another post on Instagram emphasising that those dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts must seek help and talk to those qualified.

Celebrities Who Battle Mental Health Struggles

However, Aamir Khan is not the first celebrity to openly talk about mental health struggles. Before this, Bollywood divas including Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt have shared their battles with mental health issues.

Aside from this, prominent filmmaker Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt's sister Shaheen Bhatt have also openly admitted that they have faced depression.

Aamir Khan's Professional Commitments

On the professional front, Aamir Khan will be donning the producer's cap for Sunny Deol's Lahore, 1947. This is the primary collaboration of the two Bollywood stalwarts.

Furthermore, Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed via a Twitter post that Mr Perfectionist has locked Christmas 2024 as the release date for his next.
