Sujoy Ghosh to helm TV show roughly similar to Kahaani franchise?

Sujoy Ghosh plans to venture into the television world and is reportedly gearing up to make a new show along the lines of his Kahaani film.

Director Sujoy Ghosh has carved a niche for himself in the film industry with films like Jhankaar Beats, Kahaani, Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh among others. The director, screenwriter is known for weaving multi-layered plots together to create a distinct storytelling style. According to a DNA report, Ghosh plans to venture into the television world and is gearing up to make a new show.[caption id="attachment_3786185" align="alignleft" width="380"]Sujoy Ghosh. But according to the same DNA report the director is planning something along the lines of Kahaani.The TV show will be based in Kolkata and will essentially be a thriller. The director is still working on the script and the project is in the early stages of inception.The director is best known for his Kahaani film which had Vidya Balan in the leading role along with Arjun Rampal. The film earned him rave reviews from the critics and a Filmfare award for Best Director in 2013.Although there will be striking similarities between the show and the film, the former will not be a full-blown adaptation of the latter. There is no official confirmation from the director yet.
