Sonakshi Sinha finally reveals Shatrughan Sinha & Poonam Sinha's reaction to her wedding with Zaheer Iqbal: 'If the couple is ready to get married, then...'

The marriage of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, which took place in June, grabbed several eyeballs as the duo never accepted their relationship in public.

However, there were also rumours that Sonakshi's father Shatrughan Sinha and her brothers Luv and Kush were not happy with the actress' decision as they were not seen in the pics of pre-wedding festivities.

But on the wedding day, Sonakshi was accompanied by her parents and they were also part of the reception that night.

In a recent interview, the actress spoke about her parents' reaction to her marriage.  “All friends and family knew about our relationship for years,” the Dabangg actress told Zoom.

“My dad was very happy. He said, ‘Jab miyan biwi raazi toh kya karega kaazi (If the couple is ready to get married, then who can stop?)’ He had met Zaheer a few times before. He is very fond of him. Their birthdays are around the same time: My dad’s is on December 9 and Zaheer’s is on December 10, so they are very similar,” she added.

“I am in awe of him and his intelligence. When he speaks, the knowledge that he has. Just sitting with him for an hour or two makes you feel like you have been in a university,” added Zaheer.

Talking about her mom's reaction, she said, “My mom knew him. She was the first one I confided to. They themselves had a love marriage and they know how it will go.”

The party was attended by Salman Khan, Kajol, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth, Rekha, Huma Qureshi, Saqib Salim, Tabu, Sharmin Segal Mehta, Anil Kapoor, Richa Chadha and Raveena Tandon among others.

Actor and social media influencer Sushant Divgikr, who also attended the bash, hinted that were gate crashers at the party. “Just experienced several people gate crashing and/or trying to gate crash a celebrity wedding recently. I can’t believe people will get fully dressed, pretend like they’re invited and then sneak in!! For what joy? So you can enter and just make some reels? (sic)” he wrote on his social media account.
