Any '90s kid would completely agree that the song 'Ghar Se Nikalte Hi' from the 1996 film Papa Kehte Hai evokes major nostalgia. Udit Narayan's inimitable voice coupled with Jugal Hansraj's innocence, and the exotic beach at the background, made for a beautiful song that has stood the test of time, even if nobody remembers the film. Now, the talented singer-music composer duo Armaan Malik and Amaal Malik are all set to revamp the song. They recently shared a teaser of the upcoming video track on social media, and in no time it went viral.
While the original song was penned by Javed Akhtar and composed by Rajesh Roshan, the new song has been written by Kunal Verma and Armaan will lend his voice to the track. It will also feature Armaan in the video.Speaking about the song to Mumbai Mirror, the talented singer said, "“Bhushanji (Kumar) told me one day that 'Ghar Se Nikalte Hi' is one of his favourite songs and that he wants me to do a reprised version as he feels I give out the boy next- door vibe."He also revealed that the song has been recomposed in a way where they have retained only the opening line, rest everything is improvised. The shooting has taken place in a place called Chania which exudes an "old-world charm."Watch the original song here:
