Shilpa Shetty and businessman Raj Kundra got married in 2009 and have been going strong ever since. In an interview with Zoom recently, the actress got candid and spoke about her marriage and the allegations of tying the knot for money.
Shetty disclosed, “I think people also forgot to Google Shilpa Shetty, who was also very rich back then. I'm richer today, and I pay all my income tax bills, GST, and everything.”
She added, “And, by the way, there were richer people than him who were wooing me at the time. But money has never really been the deciding factor in my life for anything.”
In what can be said as another feather to her cap, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra was honoured with the Champions of the Change 2023 award, at a recently-held event in Maharashtra. Held by a non-profit organisation the ‘Champions of Change Awards’, the accolade recognises outstanding contributions made in the field of social service, development, education, innovation, sports, and culture in Asia.
Shilpa Shetty was presented with the prestigious alongside other Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar, Kriti Sanon, Sonu Sood, and Manoj Bajpayee among others, who also received the board on Tuesday.
Shetty who is clearly on cloud nine with the latest accolade also shared the exciting news with fans on Instagram. Taking to her social media handle, the Bollywood actress shared a picture of herself posing with the award, adding that she feels “immensely grateful and honoured.”
