Shah Rukh Khan, who has delivered two very successful films this year, Pathaan and Jawan, has been provided with Y plus security by Mumbai Police. The actor will have six police commandos with him at all times, and his bodyguards, the police armed bodyguards, will be from a trained VIP security unit (special protection unit of Maharashtra police).

The security will be given to Khan all across India and they will be armed with MP-5 machine guns, AK-47 assault rifles and Glock pistols. His residence will also have four armed policemen at all times.

Why the security has been given
Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan has received many threats after the success of his two movies that came out this year- Pathaan and Jawan. The intelligence reports state that the threat to his life has increased significantly, hence the Y security has been provided. Khan will pay for his security.
In India, private security cannot be armed with sophisticated weapons that’s why it has to be police security.

Despite the arrival of several new releases, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan continues to shatter records at the ticket windows. The pan-India massy actioner has now entered the Rs 600 crore in the domestic market and has become the first Bollywood to achieve this feat.
The film raked in around Rs 12 crore yesterday and currently stands with a grand total of more than Rs 610 crore (all versions).
Looking at the current scenario, the film is expected to cross Rs 650 crore by the end of its 5th weekend at the box office. While the film has inaugurated the Rs 600 crore club, it would be interesting whether it invents the Rs 700 crore club or not.
