Originally titled Womaniya, the film was renamed Saand Ki Aankh, following a title rights dispute. Recently, Saand Ki Aankh was exempted from the state Goods and Services Tax (SGST) in Rajasthan. The film is also produced by Nidhi Parmar, and is scheduled to hit theatres on 25 October during the Diwali weekend. The film will face a box office clash with Farhad Samji's ensemble comedy Housefull 4, and Rajkummar Rao-starrer Made in China.(Read: Saand Ki Aankh releasing with Housefull 4 this Diwali shows the tectonic shift in business of Hindi cinema)
