Rashmika Mandanna started 'crying' after slapping Ranbir Kapoor in Animal, reveals what Sandeep Reddy Vanga told her

Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Animal might have been dissected by critics and fans alike, but it has turned out to become one of the biggest hits of 2023. Ranbir Kapoor played the role of Ranvijay Singh and Rashmika played his love interest, Gitanjali. While the film was all about the action scenes including the machine gun sequence and the intense fight sequence between Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol, there was one scene that also stood out among viewers. We're talking about the popular 'slap scene' that was filmed during the long Karwa Chauth scene.For the unversed, the scene shows Gitanjali (Rashmika) slapping her husband Vijay (Ranbir) for having an affair with Zoya (Triptii Dimri). Rashmika Mandanna recently spoke about filming the challenging scene, recalling how she used to console Ranbir after filming it.'I used to cry for real after slapping him': Rashmika MandannaIn a conversation with Pinkvilla, Rashmika said, "The whole sequence was one take because there was a lot of moving. It was not very predictable. I did not know what I was going to do. Sandeep just told me to feel how a person in this situation would feel. I don't remember anything between the action and the cut. I just can't process it. My brain went blank."The actress also went on to add how she would end up crying for real after the sequence. "I was crying for real. I have slapped him. I am screaming. The chaos is happening and I go to Ranbir and I was like 'Was that okay? Are you okay? We finished the sequence in half a day. I loved it and realised that this is the high of being an actor. People don't write such sequences every time. I am so glad I did the movie and the sequence. I am surprised with myself," she further said.Earlier, Vanga's brother Pranay Reddy Vanga also spoke about the particular scene, recalling how Rashmika slapped Ranbir about 20-25 times before they got the right shot. He recounted how Ranbir was not insecure but just wanted the scene to work well.
