Ramayan: How Ranbir Kapoor's prep to play Lord Ram involves quitting alcohol and meat for Nitesh Tiwari's magnum opus

After Animal, which saw Ranbir Kapoor in a fragile and ferocious character that's still attracting debatable reactions, he plays what is arguably his most challenging and ambitious character- Lord Ram. Sources also informed, “These are not things he would avoid just for his public image, but also as a dedicated actor Ranbir wants to feel as pure and clean as Sri Rama. In the meantime, Alia Bhatt was also reportedly approached for the role of Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana opposite husband Ranbir Kapoor.
