Ram Charan's Peddi director Buchi Babu Sana plans music release in Bhopal: 'Want to do the biggest musical event

Ram Charan’s Peddi continues building massive anticipation ahead of its 2026 release, and now the makers are planning what they describe as one of Bhopal’s biggest-ever musical events as part of the film’s promotional campaign.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan in the lead role alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar and Divyendu Sharma. Ever since the project was announced, the film has steadily emerged as one of the most talked-about pan-India releases on the horizon.

Interestingly, while the makers had initially planned to launch the trailer in Bhopal, they have now shifted the grand trailer unveiling to Mumbai. However, Bhopal remains central to the film’s promotions.

‘We want to do the biggest musical event in Bhopal’

Speaking about the decision, director Buchi Babu Sana revealed that the team wanted to create something “very big” for audiences in the city.

“We wanted to do something on a very big scale in Bhopal,” he said. “We all strongly felt that launching a special song from the movie with a grand musical event would be the right way to go.”

The filmmaker further added that the entire cast, makers and music team will participate in the celebration.

“We want to do the biggest musical event in Bhopal. Hence, the team has finalised launching the next song in Bhopal with the entire team, including the makers of the movie, the lead cast and the music team,” he shared.

‘We will reach the heart of every Indian from the heart of India’

Buchi Babu Sana also spoke about the team’s growing attachment to Bhopal after visiting the city during pre-production planning.

“We have already done a preliminary recce of Bhopal, and everyone has fallen in love with the city,” he said.

He further added, “We strongly believe that we will reach the heart of every Indian from the heart of India.”

Peddi continues strong buzz ahead of release

So far, almost every promotional asset from Peddi has generated strong reactions online. Whether it was the teaser, the songs Chikiri Chikiri and Rai Rai Raa Raa, or the film’s posters, audiences have responded enthusiastically to the film’s earthy and visually rich world-building.

The makers are clearly leaning heavily into content-driven promotion rather than over-the-top spectacle alone — something that has worked strongly in the film’s favour till now.
