Oscars 2024: 'The Big Bang Theory' actress Mayim Bialik calls out Hollywood stars for lack of support for Hamas hostages

The Oscars were a star-studded affair as always but there’s one actress who seems to be unhappy with the celebrities for a reason. The actress in question is Mayim Bialik who has shared a note on X and it has to with the hostages trapped in Hamas.

She wrote- “Of course I have opinions about a lot of things that went down at the Oscars both on the red carpet and on the stage but here’s what I’m going to say: I sure wish every single human being at the Oscars would have worn a yellow ribbon to show support for Hamas immediately returning the hostages who have been held since they were seized from their homes on October 7- including American citizens.”

The actress added, “The cease fire offer on the table demands the return of captive women, elderly, and the injured. It has been rejected by Hamas. #BringThemHome”

Oscars 2024 and red ribbons

The 96th Academy Awards celebrated the best films and artists of the year 2023 and even witnessed many firsts with some viral moments also grabbing eyeballs of the Internet users. As the celebrities arrived to grace the star-studded event, a notable display of solidarity among them was also witnessed. The celebrities, through red pins adorning their clothes, advocated for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in a bid to send out a loud and clear message for peace in the Gaza conflict.
