Elvish Yadav, days after allegedly attacking YouTuber Sagar Thakur aka Maxtern, was once again caught up in the controversies. This time, the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner caught the Internet’s attention for his viral picture with Munawar Faruqui while attending the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2024. The picture of the duo featured them hugging each other. Elvish’s picture with Munawar came as a huge disappointment for his fans who started labelling him as “Anti-Hindu” and “Gaddar (traitor)”. In response, Elvish has now issued a video statement apologising to his fans.

In the video posted on his YouTube account, Elvish clarified that he prioritises his religion over anything. He said, “Sabse pahle jo bhi mere Hindu bhai hai, unn sabhi ko mere taraf se haath jod ke sorry hai ke aapko bura laga ke maine Munawar ko gale lagaya (Firstly, I would like to apologise to my Hindu brothers with folded hands since you felt bad after I hugged Munawar).”

Moving on, Elvish, in his vlog, left everyone shocked as he admitted that he does not consider Munawar as his brother or friend. “You guys said Elvish was wrong. I admit that I was wrong. I can sacrifice thousands of Munawar over my religion. I do not consider him as my friend or brother. I am saying this on camera.” Reaffirming his commitment to Hinduism, Elvish added, “For me, my religion is supreme.”

Addressing his followers, he encouraged reconciliation and solidarity and urged them to refrain from any kind of conflict within the religion.

Elvish Yadav, earlier this month, made headlines after his video showcasing a physical altercation with fellow YouTuber Maxtern surfaced on social media. However, days after the verbal clash, the duo resolved the issue and circled back to friendship mode. Before this, Elvish was also named in a snake venom case. He was one of the accused in a complaint filed by Noida Police for allegedly using snake venom at a rave party. The police discovered 20 ml of snake venom along with five cobras, a python, two two-headed snakes, and a rat snake during the party.
