Poonam Pandey's death hoax backfired and how! But it's not just this actress, something remotely similar happened when Manisha Koirala was declared dead by Mahesh Bhatt.

The filmmaker, as a part of his film 'Criminal' promotions and publicity, published a poster of the actress in a newspaper with the headline- 'Manisha Koirala is Dead'. The film also starred Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishnan, where Koirala's character was killed by a doctor.

For the unversed, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman spoke about the awareness of cervical cancer and said “Our Government will encourage vaccination for girls in age group of 9 to 14 years for prevention of cervical cancer” in her Interim Budget 2024 speech on 1 February.
